PJSC «Zaporizhstal» has begun preparation for the large scale reconstruction of the Blast furnace No. 3. The project, investments, which will make around 1,47 milliard hryvnyas, is realised with using of the most progressive processing techniques.
The first innovation is working out of intellectual 3D model of the blast furnace. For the first time in Ukraine during realisation of large infrastructural projects, the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works used the best world practice and has created an intellectual model of the Blast furnace, which will raise efficiency of reconstruction, will reduce terms of its realization. During creation of an intellectual model, specialists by means of modern IT technologies have analysed more than 15 thousand drawings. Thanks to this effective tool, over 11 thousand errors have been revealed and have been eliminated at a stage of planning.
The newest system of aspiration, which will provide cleaning of emission from dust at level of 20 mg/Nm3 will be installed on the BF No. 3.
«At reconstruction of the BF No. 3 the ecological component is taken into account: the Blast furnace will be equipped with modern system of aspiration, which corresponds to the most strict European norms. Thus operation of aspiration system will be supervised in an online mode by devices of continuous automatic control», – has declared Rostislav Shurma, CEO of the PJSC “Zaporizhstal”.
The method of furnace new elements erection by preassembled units will be one more innovation, which will be applied at reconstruction of the BF No.3. For this purpose, a special construction site is organized at territory of the Steel Works. The new equipment and metal structures will receive QR-codes, which will automate and systematise erection. For assembling and erection of the furnace preassembled units, the Steel Works concludes the contract with the well-known European company for provision of powerful crane with lifting capacity of 1600 tons.
The new bell-less top charging device will be installed at the BF No.3, the number of tuyeres will be increased from 16 up to 20 and composite lining with using of the newest technics will be implemented within limits of reconstruction. Besides, on the BF No. 3 the scale car will be replaced by conveyor burden supply, the oven cooling system will be equipped with copper cooling plates.
Reconstruction of the BF No.3 is planned to begin in November 2016 and to complete for 5 months. Already in July, preparation of preassembled units for the BF No 3 will be started in territory of the Steel Works on a special construction site.
