ZAPOROZHEAN CITIZENS BECAME FAMILIAR WITH PINHOLE

“Zaporizhstal” Steel Works helped to organize the exhibition of works made by photographer Andrei Bondarenko in individual style pinhole that took place in Zaporozhye from 18 till 30 of June.

Pinhole photography is a way in which camera is used with an unusual absence of camera lens – it is replaced by a small hole. For chief electrical foremen of “Zaporizhstal” Cogging mill Shop Andrei Bondarenko coffee cans often serves as camera.

Bondarenko works in pinhole style about 10 years and says that this is a different philosophy of photography and always unpredictable result, and each work is connected with some interesting story.

-Once, I was trying to take a picture of Christmas tree, got my camera and aroused great interest among policemen,- remembers Andrei. – So, I had to prove them for a long time that this suspicious thing is camera.

More than 40 authors’ photographs of Bondarenko were represented on the exhibition, including landscapes, portraits, photo panorama of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works and many other things.

– This is my first solo exhibition in pinhole style, – says the photographer. – And without help of the native Works, I could not arrange it.

– On “Zaporizhstal” we have a lot of all-round people, – said the head of the Works Cogging mill Shop Andrei Krivtsov. – It’s nice that Andrei Bondarenko is working in our division – he is not only a good specialist, but also an expert in his hobby. I am proud to work with such a talented colleague.
