The increase in production in June 2015 (compared to the same period of 2014) due to the introduction into oper-ation after a large-scale modernization of the blast furnace (blast furnace №4) with the installation of aspiration systems Stock house assembling the cast house and trestle. Total investment in the project amounted to about 600 million USD.
Recall that the blast furnace №4 is equipped with modern high-efficiency dust and gas cleaning plant, provides dust concentration at the outlet 20 mg/m3, which corresponds to the strictest international standards. Aspiration systems work on the blast furnace №4 reduces emissions at 25% of dust emissions plant. The reconstruction project of the blast furnace 4 is part of a tripartite agreement signed between JSC “Zaporizhstal”, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and Zaporizhzhya Regional Council.
