On February 14, on Valentine’s Day, lonely hearts could find their soul mate in DK (PC – Palace of Culture) Metallurgov. There, the youth organization of the works held a charity auction of dates.
The main goal of the action is to raise money, which will then go to charity purposes – to support creative, talented children and youth from boarding schools.
“On Valentine’s Day, we instill in young people a love for rendering charity, albeit in a playful way,” said the youth leader of Zaporizhstal works, Sergey Ilchenko. – The funds collected at this auction will be used to support children from boarding schools. I am glad that the army of people ready to participate in charity, every year grows more and more.
Money managed to be collected thanks to unusual lots. Participants could purchase a date with young Zaporizhstal workers for money. Dates offered were varied: you could go to the cinema together or have a joint photo session. A total of 18 unique dates have been offered with various employees of the works.
An unexpected end of the romantic evening was the proposal of Anton Kobzar. The young man offered his beloved Marina Shcherbina to become his wife. The girl said yes.
It is noteworthy that the couple met at the works – the young people both work at Zaporizhstal.
