Today, April 7, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation donated 50,000 rapid tests to detect coronavirus for the Donetsk region. The total contribution to the Stabilization Fund, created by the President of Ukraine to combat coronavirus, amounted to 300,000 tests for the entire country.
To help Ukraine, according to the personal decision of Rinat Akhmetov, 300 million UAH were allocated to fight COVID-19.
The transfer of the tests to the heads of Donetsk region took place in Kramatorsk, from where they will be delivered to state medical institutions in Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk, Dobropolya, and Slavyansk.
A total of 25 settlements in all corners of Donetsk region will receive rapid tests – the fastest way to detect COVID-19.
– Now the whole world is fighting an unprecedented epidemic of coronavirus. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, by the personal decision of the Founder, joined this struggle, when neither Ukraine, nor the USA and Europe fully understood the scale of the impending disaster. Now testing is one of the main tools for containing the epidemic. Therefore, the Foundation has already delivered 300,000 rapid tests to detect infection. They are transferred to the Ministry of Health, which distributes them to public hospitals throughout the country. This is the largest batch of diagnostic materials within the framework of the Fund’s program to fight coronavirus in Ukraine, – said Natalya Yemchenko, member of the Supervisory Board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
The SCM business representative at the Donetsk regional headquarters for the fight against coronavirus Alexander Vishnyakov personally handed the certificates for these express tests to the head of the Donetsk regional state administration Pavel Kirilenko.
– The state has concentrated its efforts in order to resist the pandemic. And I am pleased to note that big business supports these efforts, realizing their social responsibility. Our country and the world are facing a difficult challenge. To answer it, to pass this time with minimal losses, we can only join the efforts of the whole society. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who is helping. Thanks to Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for these tests, which we are now passing on to our medical institutions, they will help doctors to quickly identify patients in order to quickly provide all the medical care they need, said Pavel Kirilenko.

Our enterprises have become partners of regional anti-crisis headquarters in four regions, including Donetsk region. This is the industrial center of the country and the health of the Ukrainian economy depends on its work. We are passing 50,000 express tests with the wish that as many of them as possible show a negative test result for coronavirus, and our metallurgists, power engineers and miners, with their work, will help the country withstand such a difficult time, said Alexander Vishnyakov.
