PJSC Zaporizhstal put into operation a new ore-bucket unloader

According to the program for modernization of production facilities, Zaporizhstal received permission to operate a new ore-bucket unloader manufactured by the Ukrainian Novokramatorsky Machine-Building Plant. The company’s investment in equipment is about 180 million UAH.

The heavy unloader is made according to the individual technical specifications of Zaporizhstal production men. New crane equipment replaced the outdated analogue at the site of the ore stock yard in blast furnace shop, where the unit is involved in averaging the stack for sinter plant. The capacity of unloader is 700 tons per hour at a lifting speed of more than 90 meters per minute. The average daily capacity of the crane is 8800 tons.

The unloader is equipped with a modern weight control system, which does not allow overloading of metal structures during operation. The reliability of the unit is guaranteed by modern energy-efficient electrical equipment based on a frequency electric drive. The guaranteed service life of the ore-bucket unloader is more than 25 years.

Let us remind that earlier Zaporizhstal also updated the crane equipment of the enterprise – two railway cranes with a lifting capacity of 25 and 80 tons were delivered to the Works.
