“Zaporizhstal” congratulated veterans on Victory Day over Nazism in World War II.
Traditionally, the enterprise provided financial aid to veterans who participated in hostilities, disabled war veterans and members of their families. “Zaporizhstal” workers visited its heroes at home: 59 veterans who took part in the hostilities received flowers and valuable gifts.
For 110 veterans and home front workers, “Zaporizhstal” organized a free wellness ride to a sanatorium-dispensary on the Khortitsa Island. For the older generation of “Zaporizhstal” workers in the health resort and the recreation center of metallurgists, solemn dinners and a thematic concert program were carried out.
On the Victory Day over Nazism in World War II, the youth of the enterprise will hold a charity event “Give a lift to a veteran!” Volunteers of “Zaporizhstal” on private car will ensure the delivery of veterans to the venues of the celebrations. In Park of Victory, the plant organizes a concert program and a festive dinner for veterans.
“Zaporizhstal” together with “Zaporozhogneupor”, “Zaporozhkoks” and “Zaporizhzhya Foundry-Mechanical plant” took part in the traditional charity marathon “Memory”. Zaporozhye enterprises of Metinvest transferred 65 thousand UAH to the marathon fund.
The company provides system assistance and support to the older generation of metallurgists. “Zaporizhstal” organizes free recreation wellness in the health resorts on Khortytsa Island and in the boarding house “Metallurg” (Azov coast), provides medical insurance and medical care for veterans as part of the social program of the enterprise. In 2018, “Zaporizhstal” sent more than 17.7 million UAH to support of veterans.
