SOCIAL POLICY

“ZaporIzhstal” JSC, in its activity, follows the principles of corporate social responsibility and a sustainable development.

The main trends of social policy of the enterprise – continuous increase of living standard of the enterprise employees, creation of conditions for good work and rest, the recipient-oriented and charitable assistance for beneficiaries and low-income persons, qualitative medical care.

The social programs of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works include support of working employees and the Works’ veterans, possibility for health improvement and sanatorium treatment, the organization of summer holidays and health improvement of Zaporizhstal employees’ children, support of youth initiatives, rendering the financial support for those going on leave, awards to festive dates, participation in sporting and cultural events and many other things.

One of social priorities of “Zaporizhstal” SW is care of the Works’ veterans. The enterprise provides a financial support for unemployed pensioners, that is: monthly payments, payments for the state festivals and for the day of an aged person. The Works’ veterans can have a rest and improve their health in the sanatorium-preventorium and in recreation house. Besides, “Zaporizhstal”, on a constant basis, supports its veteran organizations.

The Works carries out a number of actions of a social orientation with assistance of the Metallurgists’ Cultural Centre, “Sputnik” Children’s Health Improving Center, a sports complex, yacht-club, “Metallurg” Recreation House, “Nadezhda” recreation camp, sanatorium-preventorium on Khortitsa island and “Brigantine” youth camp.
