Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor, Zaporizhkoks and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Plant trans-ferred about UAH 6.7 billion to the budgets of all levels in 2021, which is more than twice the amount of tax deductions for 2020 (about UAH 3 billion).
“A strong national producer makes the economy of Ukraine and the country as a whole equally strong, fueling it with taxes and investments, maintaining social stability in the cities of presence, ensuring the sustainability of the development of territories. Our enterprises work honestly, and therefore the high production and financial indicators achieved by the work of our teams are converted for the state into increasing tax deductions,” said Alexander Mironenko, General Director of Zaporizhstal Works.
The largest deductions to the state treasury fall on taxes on profits. In addition, in 2021, Metinvest Group raised wages for employees, which led to an increase in personal income tax deductions, a unified social contribution and a military tax.
Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest – Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor, Zaporizhkoks and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Plant – sent more than UAH 1.1 billion to local budgets in 2021, which is a third or UAH 305 million more than in 2020 (UAH 824 million).
It should be noted that Metinvest Group, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred UAH 52.7 billion of taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine in 2021, which is 2.4 times more than in 2020.
