At the ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of Knowledge, the representatives of “Zaporizhstal” handed over playing tables for table football and air hockey to 28 sponsored educational institutions. The works sent 400,000 UAH to purchase the gifts for schoolchildren.
On September 2, 2019, the top managers of “Zaporizhstal” works traditionally visited educational institutions of Zaporizhzhia city, where they congratulated teachers, students and their parents on the start of the new academic year. This time, metallurgists presented schools with gifts for students’ active leisure in between classes, particularly game tables for table football and air hockey.
“Zaporizhstal” pays great attention to the development of education and science in the region. In particular, more than 1000 schoolchildren annually visit the enterprise in framework of study tours. As part of the environmental volunteer campaign “Let’s Save the Dnieper Together”, the company organizes Eco quests for schoolchildren. Moreover, “Zaporizhstal” provides financial support to educational institutions in carrying out repairs and improving of the material and technical base.
Recall, on the eve of Knowledge Day, within the framework of Metinvest corporate program “First day of school!”, “Zaporizhstal” presented school backpacks and sets of school supplies to about 3,500 children of the enterprise workers.
