“Zaporozhstal” Steel Works keeps stability of operation under conditions of tough economic and political situation in Ukraine. General director of Steel Works Rostyslav Shurma said this at the meeting with employees of Blast Furnace shop on May 14, 2014.
«Situation in Ukraine is far from simple and against the background of political processes, the economic issues faded into insignificance. That is why we, in the same way as before, should be engaged in manufacturing, developing of economy, continue our largescale construction projects. It is a guarantee, that Steel Works would operate in stable mode, and wages would be paid out. Also, situation strongly affected the consumption of metal. Thus, if earlier around 30% of our products we delivered to domestic market, and now-only 15%. However, we are looking for and find new marketing outlets.
It is highly important, that in recession period in Ukrainian industry, we managed to keep consistency of operation of Steel Works. All that, permits us not to decrease the production level, continue the modernization projects, timely pay out wages, preserve social protection and fringe benefits to our employees and veterans. You work flat out, you are anxious about the Steel Works, and nobody would turn its back on you”- pointed out the General director of “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works.
