In 2014 “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works will invest 29 million UAH for raising the level of industrial safety of the working places and providing employees with improved personal protection equipment according to the functioning unified system of standards of labour safety and industrial safety of Metinvest Group and JSC “Zaporizhstal” Policy in the sphere of labour safety, health and environment protection.
The planned investments will be directed at decreasing the level of influence of harmful factors at the working places, in particular 23.5 million UAH for provision of personal protection equipment, 2.4 million UAH for creation of optimal temperature conditions and water consumption schedule (purchase of industrial and domestic air conditioners, soda machines); 3.1 million UAH for improvement of air control and provision of gas safety (purchase of gas detectors, gas-proof equipment, vehicle for gas rescue department).
Activity of “Zaporizhstal” SW in the sphere of labour safety and industrial safety has been certificated in accordance with the requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007. All works on prevention of industrial injuries are carried out according to the applied Policy in the sphere of labour safety, health and environment protection.
