On the threshold of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works will hold a number of socially significant events for veterans of the Works – the participants of the war.
By the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works will provide a financial assistance to combatants, disabled war veterans and relatives of the victims in the amount of 150 thou-sand UAH.
During the celebration of memorable dates the workers will visit all veterans at home and in hospitals, and prepare gifts for them. In order to care for the health and leisure activities of the veterans, from April 27 to May 14 on the island Khortitsa is organized a free health-improving season in sanatorium-preventorium of the Works for 110 war veterans.
On May 7th in Metallurgists’ Cultural Center will be held a gala concert with awarding of veterans from the Works. Later on the same day the Works will organize the participation of the Works’ veterans – war participants in the rally-requiem in the urban-type village Skvortsovo. In sanatorium-preventorium on the island Khortitsa for veterans will be organized a festive evening and dinner, also they will take part in other official city events dedicated to the memorable date.
Along with that, the youth organization of the Works organizes a charity campaign “I shall give a lift to veterans”, during which 50 workers of the Works on their own transport during May 8-9, will drive veter-ans to the event location and after the events back home.
The “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works traditionally will participate in a live telethon “Memory”, transferring 100 thousand UAH for charitable purposes of veterans’ organization.
