On July 16th, 2016 in Zaporozhye, grand celebration of the “Day of Metallurgist”, organised by PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has taken place on the fountains cascade “Raduga”. 250 employees of the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works are honoured by awards of the Metinvest Group, regional and city authorities for conscientious work, increasing of production efficiency, convincing contribution to development of region and the country. The Steel Works awarded the best employees for a total sum of more than 300 thousand UAH.
Sergey Bordyug, the steelmaker of the Open Heath Furnace Shop and Dmitry Kotelnikov the operator of control room of the Hot Strip Mill are awarded by the Gold Star of Metinvest and bonus in the amount of 50 thousand UAH for special successes in work. Five workers are noted by letters of appreciation of the Metinvest Group. Also 5 best labour collectives have been presented by the certificates on 20 thousand UAH, each one for improving of production living conditions of the employees.
Jury Nedviga the steelmaker of the Open Heath Furnace Shop and Oleg Maystrenko, the operator of pickling line of the Cold Rolling Shop No.1 are awarded by honorary title of “The honoured metallurgist of Ukraine”. Sergey Lysokon, Deputy Head of the Blast Furnace Shop and Igor Kovtunov, the sinter machine operator of the Sinter Shop are awarded by the “The Order of Merit” of the ІIІ degree.
11 employees are presented by honorary rewards “For Valorous Labour” of the I, II and III degrees, 13 employees of Zaporizhstal are noted by Certificates of Merit. 41 employees of the Steel Works are noted by merit certificates of Regional State Administration, Regional Council and City Executive Committee for long service, high professionalism and production successes.
The “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works pays special attention to veterans of the Steel Works – on occasion of the “Day of Metallurgist” all veterans according to provisions in force at the Steel Works, were paid financial assistance for a total amount of 262 thousand UAH. The honorary title of the “Veteran of work”, with handing over of the certificate and monetary bonus, is assigned to 174 workers of the Steel Works.
By the “Day of Metallurgist”, the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works has organised on the fountains cascade “Raduga”, a grand holiday with interactive zones of entertainments, sports competitions, children’s entertaining program and parade of metallurgists dynasties. Also in the context of celebration, the direct TV link-up between the industrial centres of Ukraine – Zaporozhye, Mariupol and Krivoi Rog has taken place. The concert of Gajtana, Ukrainian pop music star, became a gift for visitors of the holiday.
