On April 11, 2014 in Dnepropetrovsk, the prime minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk held a meeting with chairmen of regional state administrations, mayors of cities, heads of law enforcement agencies, industrialists, representatives of big business of Donetskaya, Luganskaya, Kharkovskaya, Dnepropetrovskaya and Zaporozhskaya regions.
The topics of the meeting were the issues of stabilization of situation in the regions of Ukraine, timely payment of wages, securing of deductions into the budget, issues of corruption elimination.
General director of the largest in Zaporozhskiy region, township-forming enterprise – “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works Rostyslav Shurma took part in the meeting with prime minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk. Business, administrative authorities and public community should unite for overcoming the crises developments in the economy, he was quoted as saying.
Speaking on “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works contribution into the economy of Zaporozhskaya region of Ukraine, Rostyslav Shurma said: “For its part, “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works, in spite of the market situation, maintained production, and even raised it by 5% in the first quarter, actively implements energy saving technologies, cuts down the volume of gas consumption, timely pays wages to people, continuous to invest into modernization projects.”
According to opinion of Rostyslav Shurma, such meetings are very important for all participants. General director of “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works holds out a hope that government in its economic strategy would take into account the wishes of business representatives, expressed during the meeting.
