Today, on May 4, the annual charity telethon “Memory” has finished at the Magara Theater, which has been held for the eighteenth time. The event is held on the eve of the Day of Memory and Victory over Nazism in Europe. There is no analogues in Ukraine. Only in Zaporozhye such telethon is conducted, in which all citizens of the region, industrial enterprises, small and medium businesses take part.
At the Magara Theater, the audience welcomed the veterans, they were given flowers. A minute of silence honored those who died in that war and in the present one in the ATO area. All funds raised during the telethon will go to help veterans of the Second World War, participants in local wars and ATO. As always, Zaporozhye metallurgists took an active part in the telethon “Memory”.
The general director of Zaporozhogneupor, Viktor Busko, on behalf of metallurgists thanked the veterans for the victory, for the fact that Zaporozhye metallurgical enterprises built after the war became leading in their industry. And from the enterprises Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor and Zaporozhkoks, Victor Busko transferred a certificate for 55 thousand UAH to the fund of the telethon “Memory”.
– Telethon “Memory” has great importance, as for the whole city, and for us, metallurgists, said Victor Busko. – These days with special respect we remember our veterans, their accomplished feats. And for the veterans themselves, this is also a important event. The most important thing is that they are remembered and they are taken care of.
