The Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities “Children’s Radonezh” turned 5 years old. The anniversary coincided with the feast of St. Nicholas. Zaporizhtal workers came to congratulate their sponsored ones. 22 children study in the institution, most of them are children with mental retardation, hyperactivity, autism. Recently, classes with the guys have become much more productive. Within the framework of the “Lokoteca” project, new benefits and special educational games were acquired. The Center became the winner of “We are the city” social initiatives competition of “Zaporizhstal” PJSC and received a grant of UAH50 thousand.
– I’m happy to note today that many of our pupils study in regular schools, and disabled children study in specialized institutions and have a good result in terms of socialization and training”,- said Irina Pilipenko, an education-psychologist at the Children’s Radonezh Center. It is especially important that all classes take the form of interesting games that are better perceived by children with mental retardation.
Children arranged a warm welcome for the guests. The guys danced, told poems, communicated. Naturally, every child received a wonderful gift.
