Where it is better to invest money? What can you save on? How to make a profit? – Zaporozhye schoolchildren sought answers to these and other questions by playing the board game “Cashflow”. In addition, 70 participants of the project “Financial Literacy – by Playing!” Received professional advice from financiers and took part in thematic master classes.
The program was made possible due to the competition of social initiatives of Zaporizhstal Works “We are the city”. The authors of the project became its winners and received a grant of UAH55 thousand, for implementation of their ideas.
– Modern realities require each person to spend money competently. The earlier people start to understand the value of money, the faster the economy will grow, and the standard of living will rise. By investing in such projects, we invest in the future of our city. I am glad that such a project has taken place, and I am confident that its authors will offer other equally interesting ideas for the contest “We are the city” next year, said Yury Oreshkin, a deputy of the Zaporozhye City Council.
To try themselves in financial management, except schoolchildren, older people also volunteered. It speaks for itself that the project “Financial literacy – by playing!” aroused considerable interest among the Zaporozhye citizens and was a success.
