Metinvest metallurgists and miners have the tradition: to gather altogether once per year and get into a power play. The name of this power play competition is not Heroic Games at all, but it calls Metinvest Steel Games.
For the year, the competition was held in Kryvyi Rih from July 16 to 19. It brought together 700 metallurgists and miners from all over Ukraine.
Sports competitions began with arm wrestling and here in the weight category up to 60 kg, the TsMI electrician Pavel Mateyash won. In the 60-70 kg category, the third place went to the repairman of TSHRMS Alexander Chernobublik.
Hands were stretched and it is time to take care of the legs. Crane driver Natalya Polskaya won the third place among women in the sprint.
Now we back to hands work. We cannot explain this phenomenon yet, but Zaporizhstal metallurgists are very successful in weight lifting. Maybe their profession played not the last role in this talent. Therefore, in the weight category up to 60 kg, repairman Viktor Kreminsky got the 3rd place. In the weight category of 60-70 kg, electrician Andrei Malysh showed excellent results and took 1st place. Another championship, hold in the weight category of 70-80 kg the slinger Maxim Novomlinsky won. For the last, the heavyweight category of 80-90 kg in which the dispatcher Sergey Ruslanov won 2nd place.
When working at the integrated iron and steel works, it is important to remember the team, if you are not individualists, but team workers, then together you will achieve greater results. The same is true in sports here we are also one team, only not in steelmaking, but in athletics and volleyball. In these disciplines, our employees got third places.
