Eighteen children from the swimming department of the Zaporozhye “Invasport” Center went to rehabilitation camps in one of the best sanatoriums in Western Ukraine to improve their health after a busy competitive season. Such a trip became possible thanks to Zaporizhstal Steel Works, which allocated 60 thousand hryvnias to help young swimmers.
– We are going to Truskavets to the rehabilitation center “Modrici” – this is a unique center that was opened about two years ago. They accept people with musculoskeletal involvement. On the basis of this rehabilitation center and sanatorium “Vernigora”, our children will be able to get rehabilitation, fully restore their health. This time we focused on rehabilitation, – says the swimming coach, the head of the training and sports department “Invasport” Irina Pavelieva.
This is not the first training and rehabilitation gathering that “Invasport” pupils make due to the support of Zaporizhstal Works. With the financial support of the enterprise, the guys held two gatherings during this season in Energodar. And this immediately affected the sports results of young swimmers.
– This year, we organized the rehabilitation of the children of “Invasport” in the best sanatoriums of Ukraine, for this purpose, the Works allocated UAH 300 thousand. In addition, “Invasport” regularly has the opportunity to practice free of charge in our sports arena. Our sponsored boarding schools receive support each year at a rate of more than 600 thousand hryvnias. Children’s football school “Metallurg” gets support of more than 6 million. Our patronized schools, of which more than twenty, also receive support in the amount of up to one million hryvnias. If you combine all the social programs of Zaporizhstal, aimed at supporting children, then this sum significantly exceeds UAH 10 million a year, – said General Director of Zaporizhstal PJSC Rostyslav Shurma.
The guys will get to Truskavets by train from Dnieper. Upon arrival at the sanatorium, all the children will be examined by a doctor. In accordance with his testimony, athletes will be prescribed sanatorium treatment.
