July 25-26 Zaporizhia hosted the 16th sailing regatta named Hero of Ukraine Vitaly Satskiy. For prizes “Zaporizhstal” strongest crews competed in seven Ukrainian sailors yacht classes.
At the opening ceremony of the regatta contestants welcomed Rostislav Shurma.
– I am very pleased that the popularity of our regatta is growing every year, and the number of participants increases. This means that people enjoy these events, and then we’re doing the right thing, show the right example, – said the head of the metallurgical plant. – Today difficult time – a time when the display – the plant, the city, the country can only really enthusiastic people. And today we have the competition of enthusiastic people. I want to wish each of you – good luck, good wind! And all of us – a good mood.
“Zaporizhstal” has financed the passage of the Dnieper yachts Gateway, accommodation of participants of the regatta, took care of the production of merchandise competitions and prizes, certificates, medals and valuable prizes.
– Such competitions, which holds the yacht club “Zaporizhstal” is not in the Zaporozhye and throughout our region, – said Alexander Cherkashin, the chief judge of the regatta. – Combine arranged for locking Zaporozhye, Nikopol, Energodar yacht that could compete only through the sponsorship of “Zaporizhstal”.
