More than thousand employees of the “Zaporizhstal”, “Zaporozhkoks” and “Zaporozhogneupor” became participants of volunteering action «The clean city».
The employees have cleaned dead wood and rubbish, have planted trees and bushes, as well as have carried out other activities on improvement of territories inside their enterprises and around them.
The volumes of works impress. For example, employees of Zaporizhstal have collected more than 40 tons of rubbish, have planted 100 trees, have whitewashed about 2 thousand running metres of road kerbs, have painted 34 benches and 12 garden-houses.
– To come today on subbotnik and to put things in order is an initiative of our collective, – points out Vitaly Malikov, pickling line operator of the Cold Rolling Shop No.1 of the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works – cleanliness depends on ourselves, after all, it is necessary not only to clean, but also not to discard rubbish. Same way as we clean the territory of the plant, we keep order at our working places and also behave carefully toward city streets.
