PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has rendered financial help to victims of Chernobyl from Zaporozhye The Steel Works has directed around 60 thousand hryvnyas on these purposes.
By 30-year anniversary of disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power station the Steel Works has financed purchase of memorable signs for liquidators of the breakdown, renting of the bus for their excursion trip to memorable places, holding of a concert and solemn meeting in the Palace of culture of metallurgists. In addition, the Steel Works has rendered welfare assistance to employees of “Zaporizhstal” who were taking part in post-accident cleaning up at Chernobyl Atomic Electric Power Station.
– These people are heroes, risking own life they save future generations, – has pointed out Rostislav Shurma, CEO of the “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works. – We are sure that our debt, as each socially responsible business in our country, to pay tribute of respect to these people and to support them.
