Dnipropetrovsk Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine received from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK a modern PCR test analyzer for the CFX96 Touch coronavirus and an uninterruptible power supply, that will ensure the functioning of the device even in case of emergency power outages.
This device manufactured by BIO-RAD (USA) has the highest accuracy of analyzes, as well as efficiency. Now it takes less than half an hour from the start of blood sampling to the analysis results. In addition to tests for coronavirus, it can be used to analyze samples for HIV, hepatitis and other viruses.
“The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation continues to provide Ukrainian medical workers with the most necessary in the fight against coronavirus. In the list of medical needs prepared by the Foundation together with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, a separate line includes analyzers of samples for coronavirus, an analyzer of PCR tests. Today, the Foundation transfers the third such device to Ukrainian medical workers, now to the Dnieper. Previously, analyzers received Mariupol and Kiev. Rinat Akhmetov allocated 300 million UAH for the fight against coronavirus, and the Foundation continues to purchase the necessary equipment, personal protective suits for health care workers, and express tests for patients with the symptoms of the virus and for medical workers who are often the first to come into contact with the patients. ”, said Natalia Yemchenko, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
The Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Alexander Bondarenko, thanked the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for helping the region and noted that the coronavirus epidemic rallied Ukrainian society.
“From the very beginning of the epidemic, business partners actively joined in the fight against coronavirus in the region. We are very grateful to them for this support. Every charitable contribution is important to us, because stopping the pandemic and overcoming its consequences is possible only through joint efforts. Therefore, thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the regional headquarters of counteracting coronavirus with the enterprises of the region, medical workers receive extremely necessary protective suits, as well as modern equipment. We are grateful to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for the 30 thousand rapid tests that the region received in April and for the modern apparatus for PCR diagnostics. ”, said Alexander Bondarenko.
The director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Laboratory Center, Alexander Shtepa, did not hide his joy in receiving an ultramodern analyzer:

For his part, the representative of DTEK in Dnipropetrovsk region, Alexander Savenko, noted that all SCM group enterprises are actively involved in the fight against the threat of a pandemic.

The representative of the Metinvest Group, a member of the Dnipropetrovsk regional headquarters for countering coronavirus, Dmitry Murashko, expressed confidence that the measures taken to combat against the spread of the virus will certainly bear fruit.

Valery Serdyuk, Director of the Department of Health of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, said that about 800 people in the region have a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus and he also noted, that the analyzer receiving is a great occasion:
