Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is initiating a national campaign – #ThankYouDoctors. This is a promotional action focused on a daily heroic deeds of people in “doctor`s gowns”. In such a way the Foundation calls to express our gratitude to the Ukrainian doctors for their dedicated service amid the pandemic of the coronovirus.
Doctors are the real Heroes of Our Time. Sacrificing themselves, they helped thousands of Ukrainians to get over the COVID-19. The Foundation of Rinat Akhmetov have been regularly and in a great scale supporting the Ukrainian medicine for 15 years already. During the pandemic, this focus area has become a first priority for the foundation. And the doctors need not only protective means and state-of-the-art equipment. Like any human being, for them is important that their efforts are valued and respected. That`s why we are creating a platform to collect “thanks” to doctors and stories about their daily heroic work. Doctors have been confronting the deadly threat for more than a year. And during all this time, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has helped thousands of doctors all over the country in this fighting,” – Yuliya Yershova said, Communications Director of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
She noted that all the messages of gratefulness to doctors will be gathered at the website of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Each Ukrainian will be able to visit a dedicated web page https://akhmetovfoundation.org/ru/thankyoudoctors and post their own story about how doctors saved his or her life, or the life of their relatives, or the loved ones.
The #ThankYouDoctors campaign is being implemented within the project of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation – Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine – under which the key public hospitals in all regions of the country received 155 oxygen concentrators, 337,000 rapid COVID tests, over 200,000 units of personal protective equipment and consumables. Access to stationary and mobile oxygen sources was provided for 1000 hospital beds in the regions. The key element of the Foundation’s assistance was the delivery of over 200 lung ventilators. This is the largest supply of such equipment in Ukraine during the pandemic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 505 hospitals in 203 locations have received assistance from the Foundation: both the clinics in regional centres, and also small hospitals in towns and villages. This is the largest and widest scale private initiative aimed at helping public healthcare facilities made by one donor for all years of the independence of our country.
