International recognition. The Foundation of Rinat Akhmetov has received a prestigious award in London

The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has become one of the winners of the prestigious European award – The Digital Impact Awards that is approved by Communicate Magazine, an industry source of the best practice in the field of corporate digital communications in Europe. Among the winners of the previous years were such companies as Vodafone, Adidas, Google, Pfizer, Unilever, Coca-Cola Foundation, Saints Foundation, Deutsche Bank and others.

The projects of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation were awarded right away in five nominations at the awarding ceremony. In particular, “Fight Against COVID-19 in Ukraine” won gold in the category of The Best Digital Communications during COVID-19.

– When Ukraine faced the pandemic of the coronavirus, Rinat Akhmetov was the first one who came to help. He combined the power of the Foundation and SCM`s assets, allocated around UAH 500 million to fight the coronavirus as a part of the Fight against COVID-19 in Ukraine project. In a very short time, crucial supporting hospitals all around the country were provided with 218 artificial lung ventilation units (AVL), over 300 thousand express-tests, more than 200 thousand individual protection means and consumable materials, 159 Oxygen Concentrators. Since the beginning of the pandemic, in general 500 hospitals in various locations have received assistance from the Foundation. Additionally to the direct support of hospitals, the project included the launch of educational and educative activities. The Foundation of Rinat Akhmetov has been training Ukrainian teachers, who for the first time encountered “smart” education, how to use online services. It also administered Ukrainian doctors of the supporting state hospitals to stay informed about the latest treatments against the coronavirus and made clear some peculiarities how to work with the updated models of AVLs. The Foundation has been successfully fighting against the spreading of fake information and myths about the coronavirus, giving a chance for any resident of Ukraine to ask questions to the best doctors of the country. Our huge communication layer of activities in the Fight against COVID 19 in Ukraine is not just precious, but it has also been recognized with the best great European award! – Irina Blazhan said, the Chief Officer of the Foundation`s programmes.

The Digital Physical Education Lessons, an educational online serial of the Rinat Akmetov Foundation, has won two gold awards right away in the following nominations:

“The Best Digital Communications under a Comprehensive Campaign”;

“The Best Application of Digital Technologies in sports, travel, leisure and tourism industry.”

The serial was also awarded with silver in the nominations “The Best Application of Digital Technologies by Charitable, Public and Non-profit Organizations”, and “The Best Application of Digital Technologies in Education.”

– The Fight against COVID-19 in Ukraine project included several digital campaigns that facilitated the Ukrainian nation to address the challenges caused by the pandemic. The most successful one became the Digital Physical Education Lessons online series created in association with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and FC Shakhtar. This is a unique e-course of PE lessons. Aiming to reach hearts and get into ear of schoolboys and schoolgirls, we did a really big step forward, as we invited a “star team.” Those are the stars of world soccer, such as Andrey Piatov and Sergey Krivtsov, and such famous showmen as Oleg Maslyuk and Yevgeniy Yanovich. I am pretty confident that no other motivated project has such a team. The soccer players showed children how to do physical exercises, while the comedians played how to ”misdo” them, – explained Irina Blazhan.

We`d like to remind you that The Foundation of Rinat Akhmetov has already won in two nominations of the IRPA`s Golden World Awards that was established in 1990 by the International Public Relations

Association (IPRA) and evaluates the best communication projects in terms of creativity, quality of strategy and achieved results. The Foundation’s educational series of “Digital Physical Education Lessons” won in “Sport’ and “NGO campaign” nominations.

There are more than 5 million viewers at the Foundation`s digital platforms and national television. While the total audience, including the users of “Diia” platform and the rotation of 20 national TV channels, amounted to at least 26 million people.
