The decline in production indicators was caused by an unplanned shutdown of the company's production facilities following an attack by the Russian army on the region's infrastructure. During the forced downtime, a comprehensive programme of repairs and maintenance was carried out on production units and environmental protection facilities to improve their operational reliability going forward.
For reference, in 2025 Zaporizhstal produced 3.6 million tonnes of pig iron, 3.2 million tonnes of steel, and shipped 2.8 million tonnes of rolled products.
