ZAPORIZHSTAL MANAGERS WERE TAUGHT THE STRATEGY OF PREVENTING CONFLICTS

The ability of effectively settling and preventing industrial conflicts is one of the professional competence of a manager, which allows to support favorable psychological climate in a collective and promotes reception of maximum effective output from the available manpower.

The training workshop “Strategy of behaviour during conflicts.

Management of industrial conflicts” according to the order of the Chairman of the Board № 586 of December 24th, 2009 “About the plan on training and improvement of professional skills of the personnel in 2010” was worked out on the basis of testing participants in an on-line mode. The workshop was held on 18-19 May. It was conducted by research engineers of the Institute of Psychology named after G.S. Kostyuk of the Academy of Pedagogical Science of Ukraine. The program consists of five modules and is constructed so that each module can be mastered at the theoretical and learned behaviour level.

Various methods of training were used: interactive exercises; lecture blocks; work in mini groups; imitation of real situations; granting of practical recommendations

The estimation of the results of training has shown that the purpose has been reached — practical models of settling of conflicts have been studied, skills of tracing and transformation of situations which lead to conflicts were mastered. In the summarized questionnaires participants noticed that they have received helpful information, have learnt a lot and have experienced the ability to solve any industrial conflict. At the seminar a decision was made to create a map of preventive conflicts by means of studied technologies in each structural subdivision with the presentation of new decisions.
