Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation donated surgical equip-ment and medicines to the doctors of Zaporizhzhya Military Hospital to equip the operating department for 8 million hryvnias. The total cost of surgical instruments, medicines and equipment donated by the Rinat Akhmetov SCM enterprises for the needs of hospital since the beginning of war is 10.5 million hryvnias.
“In these extremely difficult times for our country, Ukrainians have shown to all of the world what is the true unity. For a common goal, the business, citizens, and the whole country have united to stand up against the enemy. While our doctors save the lives of Ukrainians all around the clock during the war conditions, we support them by all means in the rear and provide them with medicines and medical equipment. I am confident that this support will help to save the lives and health of our defenders and will make easier their rehabilitation in the future,” said Oleksandr Myronenko, Head of the Coordination Center of the Metinvest Humanitarian Mission in Zaporizhya and General Director of Zaporizhstal.
On May 23, Zaporizhzhya Military Hospital obtained modern medical equipment for the operating department. Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group donated to the hospital two operating tables, two complex electrosurgical sys-tems with the necessary consumables, a device for visualization of veins and 1000 units of surgical aspirators. Around 17000 units of medicines were also donated to equip the operating department. The total cost of pur-chased equipment and medicines is about 5 million of hryvnias. The list of the medical equipment for the military hospital had been determined according to the needs of the institution as well as in coordination with the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine.
Additionally, within the framework of Saving Lives humanitarian project, founded by the Metinvest Group together with DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the hospital received materials for staffing the operating rooms: around 650 units of surgical consumables and instruments worth more than 3 million hryvnias.
We would like to remind that in early May Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Grouptogether with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, donated to doctors of Zaporizhzhya Military Hospital equipment and medicines to provide emergency medical care of cost of 2.5 million hryvnias.
