Zaporizhstal, a part of the Metinvest Group, continues to implement a support program for employees whose homes have been damaged by enemy attacks. The total amount of financial assistance provided exceeds 2.5 mln hryvnias.
Thousands of Zaporizhstal employees and their families live in Zaporizhzhia and surrounding areas, supporting the country’s economy during these challenging times. Each shelling and enemy attack causes pain and damage to our employees and their homes. To support these employees, Metinvest has introduced a housing restoration program for those at Zaporizhstal and other Metinvest enterprises in the region.
Under this program, over 100 homes of Zaporizhstal employees and other Metinvest workers in Zaporizhzhia have been restored.
This housing restoration program aims to support workers whose homes have been damaged due to enemy shelling. Employees can contact a specially created internal hotline, operational since the early days of the full-scale invasion. Employees are provided with financial aid to cover the costs of fixing and restoring their homes, which varies depending on the level of damage. Furthermore, if required, staff members are able to stay at Metinvest’s social facilities in Zaporizhzhia for free while their houses are being fixed.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest has launched several humanitarian initiatives, which are ongoing. In particular, Metinvest has already allocated 217.5 mln hryvnias to assist injured employees, the families of deceased workers, and their relatives.
It is important to highlight that, under the direction of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and with the support of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration and Zaporizhzhia City Council, in partnership with the Metinvest Group and Zaporizhstal, a large-scale projects is also underway to rebuild a building on Soborny Avenue in Zaporizhizhia , that was damaged by enemy shelling in October 2022.
