Metinvest Group’s Zaporizhstal continues to implement its corporate programme to improve workplace welfare for metallurgists. The enterprise has completed a major overhaul of two sanitary and amenity facilities and has installed two sanitary buildings, which cost UAH 23 million.
The upgraded sanitary and amenity facilities of the cold rolling shop No.3 and metallurgical equipment maintenance and repair shop No.1 are now in operation, covering a total area of 1,110 m². The major overhaul included replacing all communications, window and door units, plumbing, and finishing work. The amenity buildings are equipped with hairdryers, dryers, climate control systems, and cabinets for personal belongings.
Among this year’s completed projects, there was the installation from scratch of two large modular sanitary buildings for employees working in remote areas of the slag processing shop and metalware shop. To ensure the comfort of workers at the level of standard amenity buildings, the enterprise equipped the modular buildings with all necessities. In total, over 500 Zaporizhstal workers will use the upgraded facilities.
As a reminder, the “Working Household” corporate project of Metinvest, which includes the renovation of the enterprise’s amenity facilities, has been operating since 2012. To date, 220 amenity buildings have been overhauled, totaling almost UAH 250 million.
