The Collective Agreement of “Zaporizhstal” is Recognized as the Best in the Zaporizhzhia Region

At the end of 2019, the collective agreement of Zaporizhstal was recognized as the best among the enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region with more than 10 thousand employees.

A diploma and a commemorative sign for victory in the rating of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council of Trade Unions among enterprises and institutions of the region were presented to the General Director of Zaporizhstal Oleksandr Mironenko by the President of ZOPPP Potential Alexander Golovko and Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Committee of the Trade Union of Metallurgists and Miners of Ukraine Valery Sedov.

In 2019, the Works fully fulfilled all guarantees for medical care, health improvement of employees, support for veterans, payment of all types of material assistance, provision of targeted assistance to socially unprotected categories of the population associated with the enterprise. The total costs for the Works required for the fulfillment of the guaranteed social obligations of the collective agreement amounted to more than UAH 400 million.

The social package of Zaporizhstal traditionally remains the widest among all enterprises in the industry in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Works financed the preferential rehabilitation of workers, their families and veterans of the enterprise in the health resorts of Ukraine. In 2019, the Works allocated UAH 24 million for these purposes.

The expenses of the company for medical care of employees in medical institutions of Zaporizhzhia, as well as for medication for the treatment process, amounted to more than 17 million hryvnias.

From October 2018 to October 2019, the Works allocated more than UAH 62 million for the implementation of the individual social package “My Choice”. The most demanded among Zaporizhstal residents were options for medical insurance, payments for mobile communications, sports passes, as well as leisure programs for children.

The priority for the enterprise remains the creation of decent working conditions and working life. In 2019, the Works allocated more than 70 million hryvnias for the renovation of premises under the Worker’s Life program. The average wage at the Works has grown by more than 25% over the year and continues to maintain its leading position in the industry.

One of the main directions of the social policy of the Works is work with young people, aimed at adaptation, professional growth and development of employees. During the reporting period, young families received 187 interest-free loans for a total amount of over 5.5 million hryvnias. In 2019, 96 social and cultural events were held, including reviews, competitions, conferences, as well as volunteer and environmental events.

As a reminder, the collective agreement of Zaporizhstal Works, since 2012, is the annual winner of the competition among the enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region with over 10 thousand employees. Zaporizhstal continues to fulfill the collective agreement in 2020, the results for the first half of the year have been summed up.
