As a part of a large-scale modernization of blast furnace № 3, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” concluded a contract with Danieli Corus for supply of bell-less top charging device. The contract value is about 165 million UAH.
As previously reported, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has begun preparations for a large-scale modernization of blast furnace № 3. The project will be implemented with using of most advanced technologies and investments to this project will amount to 1.47 billion UAH. For the first time in Ukraine during implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects “Zaporizhstal” has created a smart 3D-model of blast furnace, which will increase modernization efficiency and significantly reduce the time of its implementation.
“In modernization of the blast furnace № 3, we use the most current technical solutions and work with the best global companies – equipment manufacturers. After modernization, updated blast furnace № 3 will meet all up-to-date standards”- said General Director of PJSC «Zaporizhstal» Rostislav Shurma.
Modern bell-less top charging device, which will be installed during modernization of the BF-3, will increase blast furnace productivity, as well as provide an optimal balance and control of raw materials distribution at the burden charge level. Supply of the equipment is planned for November 2016.
It is planned to start modernization of BF-3 in November 2016 and complete in 5 months. Already in July on the Works territory on a special construction site will start assembling of major units of the blast furnace elements.
