PJSC «Zaporozhstal» handed over to Zaporozhye regional clinical hospital 200 doses of donated blood (90 litre).
«We responded to the request of Zaporozhye regional clinical hospital, because our help may save the life and health of our countrymen. “At this tough time for our country, we should help to each other, because only owing to unity and conformability we could win and cope with difficulties”, said Rostyslav Shurma, Chief Executive Officer of PJSC”Zaporozhstal”.
In this year, 360 people had become the blood donors at “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works, at the age from 20 to 55 years, including 40 women. In the course of the year, 5 Donor Days were held at the Steel Works, within the framework of which, Zaporozhstal employees donated more than 700 litre of blood.
In 2015, within the framework of charitable action “Love is mercifulness” held by Zaporozhe eparchy of Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 60 doses of donor blood was handed over from the reserve blood bank of PJSC”Zaporozhstal” to oncohematology department of regional children’s hospital.
Donor blood, which had been donated by Steel Works employees, is kept in the blood bank of Municipal institution “Zaporozhye regional blood transfusion station” ZOS and institution of “City clinical hospital of emergency and first medical aid”.
We remind that, in 2014 “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works purchased 2 refrigerators (volume 500 and 300 litre) for the transfusiology department for the freezing and safe storage of organic materials – blood and donor organs. Total cost of equipment is more than 50 thousand UAH.
