Young employees of “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works, within the framework of charity action “Give a lift to veteran”, would drive home from festivity events Zaporozhye combat veterans free of charge on 8 and 9 of May.
Around one hundred private passenger cars with relevant adhesive labels, belonging to Zaporozhstal young people would take part in the charity action. Transport would be parked in the places where the festive events take place. On May 8, the cars of volunteers would wait for the veterans at the memorial “Mourning Mother”, “Crossing” “Alley of Battlefield Glory”, and on May 9, – at the cinema hall named after Dovzhenko” and Victory Park.
The head of the youth organization of Steel Works Sergey Ilchenko said, that this initiative got keen response among employees of “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works.
“Metallurgists with great pleasure would take part in the event, because this is one and only possibility to show to our veterans that we are nearby and ready to help. Everything what we do, we are doing whole heartedly and try that veterans feel comfortable during festive days. Our young people could be easily recognized by tee shirts with the emblem of Youth organization of “Zaporozhstal”, – said Sergey Ilchenko, youth leader of “Zaporozhstal” Steel Works.
