“Zaporizhstal” II&SW in January, 2013, has increased its production volume of iron for 4.3%, steel for 9.9 % and rolled stock for 7.4 % in comparison with production factors in January, 2012.

Increase in the production volume within the reported period is connected with active implementation of the managerial and process arrangements at the Works, as well as using the efficiency reserve and decrease in operational losses.
“There is no need to convince anybody that to be a competitive Works means to be the best in main trends — quality, reduction of cost price and increase in output”, — the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” Rostislav Shurma noted. — “The Works’ staff copes with the assigned tasks perfectly well, which is clearly demonstrated by the performance indices of the Works in January, and I’m sure that from now forward, it will be so”.
So, in January, 2013, the lowest index in skip coke consumption had been achieved in The Blast Furnace Production Shop — 374 kg/t of iron (the best index was got in September, 2012 — 378 kg/t of iron), growth of iron output per one nominal day-and-night in January, 2013, made up 9 235 t, compared to January, 2012 — 8 721 t. Shipment of commercial rolled-stock in the reported period made up 281 thousand tons, which is 19.8 thousand tons up than the shipment in January, 2012 (261.2 thousand tons).
