“Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works successfully passed compliance audit and confirmed international certificates of the Integrated Management System conformity with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ILO-OSH 2001, ISO 10002.
Over a period of 4 days auditors of the company “Bureau Veritas Certification Ukraine” audited 30 structural subdivisions of the Works in order to check the Integrated Management System of Quality, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Protection and Labour Safety, which is active at the enterprise. This year the company auditors noted significant improvements, achieved at “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works since its entering Metinvest Group.
In the course of the inspection the company auditors pointed out strengths of the integrated management system, among which are the following: organization of the goal-oriented planning, based on the key performance indicators, aimed at staff motivation; high level of the staff involvement in the process of continuous production improvement; active production modernization, that suggests a technology solutions package, aimed at considerable decrease of environmental impact in the region.
“Not a single nonconformity with requirements of international standards has been detected during the audit. Success of the enterprise is a result of the staff competence and strong commitment to the efficient ideals of the active Works systems”, — pointed out Acting General Director of “Bureau Veritas Ukraine” Ivan Sokolov.
Conduct of an annual compliance audit is stipulated by requirements of international standards and is a guarantee of successful operation of the enterprise. Based on the inspection results, auditors will provide recommendations for prolongation of all the certificates within two weeks.
