“Zaporozhstal” Steel Works and Zaporozhskaya regional organization NSZU (National Union of Journalist of Ukraine) towards the Ukrainian Journalist Day, arranged creativity contest (hereafter – Contest) for the best journalist work “Zaporozhye – my industrial region”. ”Zaporozhstal” Steel Works came forward as primary sponsor of the Contest.
Contest is held for inspiration of literary creation of talented mass media employees and for encouragement of notable achievements in professional field. Journalists, who cover the news and development of industrial potential of Zaporozhskaya region – journalists in printed media, electronic media and web-based media could take part in the contest.
The Contest is timed to coincide with 55-Year of establishing of National Union of Journal-ists of Ukraine and bears the name “55 plus 5”, what means the anniversary date, and also five nominations of Contest: best journalist and photojournalist of printed media, best TV broadcaster and cameraman, best radio journalist of the year, best young journalist, and best journalist of web-based media. Regarding each nomination, members of contest jury would decide on the laureate and award winner, who would be presented with awards in the amount of 1 thousand UAH and 500 UAH respectively.
Contest jury consists of experienced professional figures in newsmaking, press, and infor-mation.. The key criteria for presented materials evaluation is high professional and artis-tic level, originality and novelty of material, creative approach. Acceptance of creative works – by May 30. Contest results would be summarized on the eve of Journalist Day, on June 6, at 12-00 in the Metallurgist Palace of Culture.
