On the event of Victory Day, “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works has allocated material assistance to combatants, invalids of the Great Patriotic War and members of families of victims, in the amount of about 150 thousand UAH. Besides it on behalf of Metinvest Group each veteran – the combatants of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works, public joint-stock company “Zaporozhkoks”, public joint-stock company “Zaporozhogneupor” has been presented by blood pressure gauges and glucometers, for a total sum of about 210 thousand UAH.

We remember and hold in honour, what a heavy cost we pay for peaceful sky, laugh of children, creative labour in the name of prosperity of Ukraine», – pointed out Rostislav Shurma, the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works.
For the purpose of care for the health and recreation of veterans, free health-improving stay in sanatorium-preventorium of the Works on island Hortitsa is organized for 110 veterans of war and workers on the home front.
Let us remind that «Zaporizhstal» Steel Works annually allocates around 10, 8 million UAH for support of veterans. 4760 persons, among which 156 participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War belong to veteran organisation of the Steel Works, which exists already for more than 46 years. The care of veterans of the Steel Works has a complex character and includes organizing of free veteran stay in sanatorium-preventorium and rest house, festive events, concerts, gifts and monetary payments to holidays, provision of additional pension, medical insurance and service.
