Social responsibility policy standards, implemented by Metinvest Group, are active at “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works. Following this policy, the Collective Agreement of the company stipulates annual health improvement of the Work’s employees and their family members. According to the results of the summer health improvement campaign of 2013, 7945 of the Work’s employees and their family members have improved their health in recreation camps, in sanatoriums and in “Metallurg” boarding house. This includes 1123 of the employees’ children, who visited children’s holiday camp “Sputnik” and children’s country recreation study centre “Solnechny”.
3994 employees and veterans of the Works with their family members have improved their health during the summer season in “Metallurg” boarding house particularly. Besides that, 1486 of the “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works’ employees with their families have improved their health in recreation camps “Metallurg”, “Brigantine” and “Nadezhda”, 1342 employees of the Works have improved their health in sanatorium OSP “San-Prof” and in other sanatoriums of Ukraine.
«Investments of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works into summer holidays of the employees amounted to 9 mln UAH, including investments of around 1.5 mln UAH into health improvement of the employees’ children which is one of the priority directions of the Works’ social policy. Children of “Zaporizhstal” employees have not only improved their health in the best recreation centers but also received a lot of important and useful information, as projects “A Day with the Enterprise” were held in children’s holiday camps. There, younger generation was told about importance of their parents’ work», said the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Iron and Steel Works Rostislav Shurma.
We would also like to remind, that due to PJSC “Zaporozhogneupor” becoming part of Metinvest Group 734 employees of the enterprise and their family members have improved their health, investments into summer holidays amounted to 1 million 291.2 thousand UAH. Besides, 50 children of the plant’s employees had rest in one of the best recreation centers of the urban-type settlement Kirillovka, called “Chaika”. The enterprise allocated 80.5 thousand UAH for financing health improvement of the children.
