THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF “ZAPORIZHSTAL” II&SW ROSTISLAV SHURMA TOOK PART IN THE HR WISDOM SUMMIT MADE BY “INVESTGEZETA”

The General Director of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW Rostislav Shurma spoke out as a moderator of “Educating leaders and succession” block within the HR-Wisdom Sammit made by Ukrainian nationwide publication entitled “Investgazeta”, which was held in Kiyev on the 7th of June, 2013.

HR-Wisdom Sammit Sammit was organized for the first time by “Investgazeta”, and brought together more than 200 senior managers, HR-directors and recruiters from the leading companies in various business areas of Ukraine, Russia and the UK. The task of the Summit was the consolidation of successful experience and unique knowledge of the business leaders in the field of personnel management.

The General Director of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW Rostislav Shurma spoke out as a moderator of discussion named “The role of HR-Director for development of the leaders and leader’s teams”.

In the course of his speech, Rostislav Shurma shared with the participants of the Summit his experience in the formation of a strong team of leaders on the example of the companies belonging to “Metinvest” Group, and also he talked about some secrets of the successful operation of “Zaporizhstal” II&SW: «There is a special situation at “Zaporizhstal” II&SW. On the one hand, the Works requires a significant technological and mental transformation in order to survive in the current market conditions. On the other hand, in our company, as nowhere else, strong traditions live on. To take control over the process, to ensure the necessary changes, and thus to preserve the best traditions — that is the art of leadership. The main thing that we managed to do at “Zaporizhstal” — is to build a team of likeminded people, the performance efficiency of which effects the development efficiency of the enterprise».
