The best students have been determined at Zaporizhzhya National University. They will be receiving scholarships from “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works in the amount of 700 UAH.
In 2015, in accordance with the corporate social responsibility principles of Metinvest Group, the works provided funding for 20 scholarships to the best students of ZNU (Zaporizhzhya National University), as well as of Zaporizhzhya National Technical University, Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy and Metallurgical College of Zaporizhzhya State Engineering Academy. This was reported by the General Director of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works Rostyslav Shurma at the meeting with students and rectors of higher educational institutions on the 27th of January. Scholarship for the students of higher educational institutions amounts to 700 UAH, and for the college students – 500 UAH.
“We need professional ambitious specialists, ready to refine themselves and to make progress, to commit their intelligence and labour to development of Ukraine, Zaporizhzhya region and our works,” says Rostyslav Shurma.
Holders of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works scholarships in Zaporizhzhya National University are a graduate student Artem Drozdov (major “Accounting and Audit”), a third-year student Vladyslav Andryuschenko (“Logistics”) and a fourth-year student Dmytro Kalnysh (“Law”). Holders of scholarships have a priority right for employment at the works.
Scholarships are awarded based on the results of each end-of-the-year semester to the students with a high average mark (over 4.7), who actively participate in scientific and social life of a higher educational institution.
