The project of social initiatives of the PJSC “Zaporizhstal” “We are this city” became an example of socially responsible business during the meeting of round table “From social initiatives to social investments”, which was held at the Agency of Regional Initiatives. Representatives of the city government, business, public organizations and social design experts attended this event.

Within the framework of the social projects competition, dozens of interesting programs were created and implemented, such as improving the city, improving sports infrastructure, cultural and educational programs.
– Our project “We are a city” is a fishing rod, but not a fish, which we just give out. This is a tool for implementing a dialogue between the authorities, business and society”, said Alexei Lebedev, Director for Capital Construction and Investments of the PJSC “Zaporizhstal”, pluralistically the chairperson of the Expert council of the social project “We are a city”,
Only during the last year, the number of submitted projects amounted to more than 250. This year the organizers expect even more applications – up to 400, and the program itself will start a little bit earlier than usual, so the participants can better prepare their projects. The competition “We are a city” is the only one grant fund of city of Zaporizhzhya, which since 2013 has financed about 6 million UAH for the implementation of socially significant projects for the region. This year the budget of the competition will be increased.
