«Zaporizhstal» Works has realized the programme on rendering of pre-medical and emergency medical aid. For those purposes, the Works allocated UAH 3.6 million.
Among its areas, there is training of Zaporizhstal workers in the basics of pre-hospital care, provision of the workshops with the required things for the first aid, medical equipment and facilities, and, in general, improving the functioning of the system for providing pre-medical and emergency medical care at the Works.
To equip the classroom, the Works acquired all the necessary equipment – training mannequins, sets of models, imitating injuries, traumas, etc.
And in order to ensure that pre-hospital care was rendered as soon as possible to the remote areas from health posts, the Works purchased equipment and medical supplies for the “Medical setup”.
In September 2016, the Works received a new ambulance car, equipped in accordance with European standards.
It is worth mentioning separately about updating the equipment of health centers. At the first stage of the project, the Works purchased 11 modern backpack bags for the first aid made the German company Weinmann. Ten bags are distributed among the health posts, and another backpack is always kept in the ambulance car. Besides, for health centers, ten semi-automatic defibrillators made by Pridemic were purchased, with the function of monitoring the heart rate.
