As part of voluntary marathon in celebration of Armed Forces day of Ukraine, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” transferred UAH 50 000 to veterans of the antiterrorist operation. These funds will be transferred to the community of ATO veterans from Zaporizhzhya.
This one-time contribution is a part of a great regular assistance by the Steel Works for the whole period of the antiterrorist operation. In particular, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” and its employees transferred UAH 52,6 million to the state budget of Ukraine from 2014. Besides, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” regularly transfers funds to Defense Fund of Zaporizhzhya region, helps participants and veterans of the antiterrorist operation and their family members by providing financial support and assistance in health improvement organization. Over the entire period of the antiterrorist operation in the Donbass the Steel Works transferred UAH 5,6 million for these purposes.
Specialists of Automobile Transport department of the Steel Works have repaired and handed over for the needs of ATO soldiers two buses “LAZ” and one “Icarus”, two trucks “Kamaz”, ambulance car, truck “Ural-375”, tip-truck “MAZ”, bed truck “GAZ” and other enterprise machinery worth over UAH 620 000. “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works has transferred UAH 1,7 million for repair and transportation of automotive vehicles and construction materials to ATO location.
Volunteers-employees of the enterprise help members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a regular basis within the social initiative of Zaporizhzhya regional television channel TV5 «Bilya sertsya”. Steelmakers-volunteers hand over the necessary things for military personnel – warm clothes, food, etc. During the campaign “Zaporizhstal” employees participated six times in the charity event, handing over charitable assistance for military personnel.
