At the avenue near the cascade of fountains “Rainbow”, about 19 thousand bulbs of Dutch tulips and hyacinths are planted. This is how the implementation of the project “There will be a garden city here”, which became one of the winners of the competition “We are a city” in 2016, takes place.
The authors of the initiative are the employees of Zaporizhzhia communal enterprise “Titan”. Having won UAH 100 000 as a grant from “Zaporizhstal”, the company plans to lay out a huge flower-bed, where tulips of various cultivars, hyacinths and muscaris will grow. Now bulbs are planted in special plastic baskets – three in each.
Larisa Ishchenko, Director of “Titan”, asked the citizens to take good care of planted plants, and the police, for their part, promised to look after the flower-bed.
