The children of the employees of the Steel Works visited “Zaporizhstal”. The guys were accompanied by their parents.
The tour of the enterprise for the guys began with a visit to the central control room, where on the huge screen they could see how the entire plant works.
The most impressive part of the tour for children was the casting of steel, after which they watched from the viewpoint of steelmaking production area. After watching the casting, young visitors went to Cold Rolling Shop No. 1. Here they learned what an ecologic pickling line CPL-4 was and got acquainted with the principles of its work.
At the end of the tour, the guys visited the zoo of the Steel Works, where they could play a little with a pony and look at the fowl yard.
– My mother works at “Zaporizhstal” – in Material and Technical Supply Department. I like equipment, it is interesting to see and study the device design, and today I saw also the technology of metal production – the scale is impressive. In future, I want to become an engineer, and today’s tour helped me to get acquainted with the profession better,” said Valeriya Kuzmenko, an 11th form student.
