“Zaporizhstal” Integrated Works organized a series of celebrations on the 18th and the 19th of July for a professional holiday, the Metallurgist’s Day.
On the 18th of July, futsal, volleyball, and chess tournaments were held in the health and recreation resort on Khortytsia island, and the brand “Kosatska Ferma” arranged pig races, organized contests, and a lottery with tasty presents.
A teleconference was held as well on Saturday. It connected metallurgists and mining engineers from Zaporizhzhia, Mariupol, and Kryvyi Rih. Congratulations to the enterprises’ employees were spoken in the course of the teleconference. After that, a concert of “the steel voice of Ukraine” Arsen Mirzoian was held in the health and recreation resort.
A concert program on the “Rainbow” cascade of fountains became a pinnacle event in celebrations on the 19th of July. Citizens of Zaporizhzhia came there with their families to watch the concert and simply relax.
Before the concert children had fun with entertainers, there was a soap bubbles show as well, lots of air balloons and joyful contests.
The Chief Engineer of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Works Volodymyr Buryak congratulated citizens on one of their favourite holidays:
We are all citizens of one city, and no matter what we are called, whether it’s ferroalloy workers, employees of “Dniprospetsstal”, the titanium and magnesium integrated works, the by-product coke plant, and the refractory plant, we all have been glorifying our native Zaporizhzhia for over 80 years. These people are the city’s backbone, these people create goods and deserve for their lives to be much better.
On behalf of “Zaporizhstal” Integrated Works, as the Chief Engineer, who gave 28 years of his life to metallurgy, I would like to congratulate all present on the national holiday, the Metallurgist’s day. After the festive concert, Zaporizhzhia citizens were entertained with a fire show.
