Leading medical specialists of Ukraine will talk about the challenges and new opportunities in the fight against coronavirus.
On March 19, the III Online Conference for Doctors “COVID-19: What Has Changed Over the Year” will be held, organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation together with the Ministry of Health and the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine. The goal of the webinar is to improve the skills of COVID-19 therapy and increase the level of knowledge about the operation of ALVs (artificial length ventilation).
Leading medical specialists of Ukraine will talk about the challenges and new opportunities in the fight against coronavirus.
The III Online Conference is a part of a large-scale work within the framework of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation’s project “Combating COVID-19”. It is the largest and the most systematic private initiative aimed at helping public health facilities in the fight against coronavirus. Within the framework of the project, more than 200 thousand units of personal protective equipment and consumables, 337 thousand express tests and more than 200 state-of-the-art ALVs were donated.
In May and October 2020, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation implemented an educational project for doctors. Two online conferences were held, where the leading experts of the Ministry of Health shared for three hours with the anesthesiologists and the personnel of the intensive care units of regional supporting public hospitals the best world experience in the treatment of COVID-19 and the nuances of working with the latest ventilator models that were delivered to state clinics. More than 2,000 Ukrainian doctors took part in two online trainings from the Foundation.
The project received positive reviews and generated a request from doctors for a third online conference. Questions of interest to physicians were collected and systematized for the speakers to prepare their speeches.
Topics to be discussed: oxygen therapy for COVID-19, rehabilitation of patients with severe respiratory failure, treatment of complications after coronavirus, such as post-covid syndrome and pneumothorax, legal aspects of the use of protocols and treatment standards, vaccination problems, treatment of children and adolescents with COVID- 19 and others. Romadanov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Associate Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the National University of Health of Ukraine named after P. L. Shupika Maxim Pilipenko.
