Since October 1st 2016, PJSC “Zaporizhstal” and “Metinvest” Group have raised wages to employees of the enterprises at average on 5 %. It is already the second revision of employees’ salaries during the current year. Earlier this year the wages have been raised to all employees at average on 10 %. Thus, from the beginning of the year the wages of metallurgists have grown at average on 15 %.
Commenting on wages increase at the enterprises of the Group, Jury Ryzhenkov, the General Director of “Metinvest” has noted: «Growth of salary fund of “Metinvest” employees will increase budget revenue of the cities where enterprises of the Group are located – especially for those where they are city-forming. First of all it is Mariupol, Zaporozhye, Krivoy Rog and Avdeevka».
Rostislav Shurma, the General Director of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” has noted, that increase of wages will help workers of the enterprise to compensate partially losses from rise in prices and tariffs for housing and public utility services: «We promised to labour collective to raise wages at the first possibility, now such possibility has appeared. We perfectly understand situation in which each citizen of Ukraine, and each worker of our Steel Works found oneself owing to rise in prices, owing to increase of tariffs for housing and public utility services. Therefore, whenever possible, we will undertake everything to compensate these losses to our workers».
According to Rostislav Shurma, thanks to last increase of wages at the «Zaporizhstal» Steel Works the local budget of Zaporozhye will receive every month additionally 1 million hryvnyas. The Pension Fund of Ukraine also will receive additionally from the Steel Works more than 1 million hryvnyas.
